2. Description of Service

Liberty AI is an AI-powered search engine that helps users find information on the internet. Our service utilizes decentralized artificial intelligence compute to process search queries and provide relevant results and information.

Our service is hosted on our own infrastructure and integrates with technology providers as minimally as possible to deliver search results and content generation capabilities. We exclusively integrate with decentralized and open-source services where user data privacy and security can be ensured.

3. User Conduct

You agree not to use Liberty AI to:

• Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
• Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful computer code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks
• Conduct automated queries or scrape our service
• Generate or distribute illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the service

4. Content and Results

While we strive to provide accurate and reliable information, Liberty AI:

• Does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any results
• Is not responsible for content generated based on your search queries
• May provide links to third-party websites over which we have no control

You should exercise judgment and critical thinking when evaluating search results and generated content. Liberty AI should not be used as the sole source for making important decisions, especially in professional, medical, legal, or financial contexts.

5. AI Model Security and Responsible Use

Liberty AI utilizes advanced open source AI models to process search queries and generate results. Users should be aware of the following important considerations regarding AI security and responsible use:

• Prompt Injection Vulnerability: AI models can be vulnerable to prompt injection attacks, where specially crafted inputs may attempt to manipulate model behavior in unintended ways. Users should be cautious when using Liberty AI and aware of these potential security limitations.
• Prohibited Content: Users must not attempt to generate, request, or create pornographic, defamatory, illegal, or otherwise harmful content through Liberty AI. Using the service to generate such content violates these Terms of Service.
• Fair Use and Responsible Usage: Users should engage with Liberty AI responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws, copyright regulations, and fair use principles. Do not use Liberty AI to infringe upon the rights of others or to create content that violates laws or regulations.
• No Liability for User-Generated Content and Abuse: Liberty AI is not responsible for any misuse, abuse, or violations of these Terms by users. Users are solely responsible for the content they generate and for the manner in which they use the service. Any abuse or misuse of Liberty AI to generate harmful, illegal, or infringing content is the user's sole responsibility.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Liberty AI, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, are the property of Liberty AI or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our service or included software without explicit permission.

7. Third-Party Services

We do not share your personal data or search queries with third-party providers for marketing, training, or analysis purposes. However, Liberty AI relies on limited third-party services to provide essential functionality, and some of your data may be processed by these providers only when necessary:

• We integrate with third-party providers such as the X API for Twitter/X search, Cloudflare, Exa, Parallel, Vercel Blob Storage, and others.
• These providers generally act as data processors rather than data controllers.
• Some third-party services provide specific functionality through API calls initiated from our servers and do not require or receive user data.
• Azure Virtual Machines: We use Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines for specific compute resources. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption protocols. You should review Microsoft Azure's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy as they may apply to data processing on their infrastructure. Azure complies with major data protection regulations including GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
• We use Cloudflare as a security and performance service provider. Cloudflare may process limited technical data such as IP addresses and request metadata to provide CDN, DNS, and DDoS protection services.
• We use Vercel Blob Storage for file storage. According to Vercel’s Terms of Service (Last Updated August 20, 2025) and Privacy Policy (Last Updated April 22, 2024), data stored in Vercel Blob is encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption on underlying cloud infrastructure. Vercel states that it does not sell or share user data and that data is processed only to provide the service, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. You retain ownership of the data you upload.
• We use the payment processor Polar for billing and subscription management.
• These third-party services maintain their own terms of service and privacy policies.
• We are not responsible for the practices or policies of these third-party services.

By using Liberty AI, you acknowledge and agree that limited data may be processed by these essential service providers as necessary to maintain the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. This includes payment data being processed by our payment providers in accordance with their respective privacy policies and security standards. We do not sell or share your data for any other purposes.

8. Pricing and Billing

Liberty AI offers both free and paid subscription plans. For detailed pricing information, visit our Pricing page.

• Free Plan: Includes limited daily searches with access to all core services
• Liberty Pro: $9.99/month subscription with unlimited searches and access to all core services

Payment Processing: We use third-party payment processors to handle billing and payments:

• Polar: For recurring monthly subscriptions (international users)

Important: Liberty AI does not store any payment card details, bank information, or other sensitive payment data. All payment information is processed directly by our payment providers in accordance with their respective privacy policies and security standards.

For paid subscriptions:

• Billing is processed monthly and charged automatically to your payment method
• All fees are non-refundable
• We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days advance notice
• You are responsible for all applicable taxes
• Failed payments may result in service suspension or termination

9. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team. Upon cancellation:

• Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
• You will retain access to paid features until the subscription expires
• Your account will automatically revert to the free plan
• No partial refunds will be provided for unused portions of your subscription

Non-Refundable Policy: All subscription fees are final and non-refundable. We do not provide refunds, credits, or prorated adjustments for partial subscription periods, regardless of usage or circumstances. Please carefully review this policy before subscribing to our paid plans.

10. Privacy

Your use of Liberty AI is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Liberty AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the service.

12. Disclaimers

Liberty AI is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Liberty AI, with or without notice, for any conduct that violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Liberty AI operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
