At Liberty AI, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered search engine.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
Search Queries: The questions and searches you submit to our search engine. Search queries are stored on our own servers to provide service functionality, but are not shared with third-party AI processing partners or used by Liberty AI for any purpose other than providing immediate search results. Search queries are automatically deleted according to your chosen retention policy.
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our service, including features used and time spent on the platform. Usage data is collected for analytics purposes only.
Device Information: Information about your device, browser type, IP address, and operating system for analytics purposes only.
Account Information: Email address and profile information when you create an account.
Subscription Data: Information about your subscription status and payment history (but not payment details).
Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and collect usage information.
Important Note on Payment Data: Liberty AI does not collect, store, or process any payment card details, bank information, or other sensitive payment data. All payment information is handled directly by our payment processors (Polar) and is subject to their respective privacy policies and security standards.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
To provide and deliver our search service
To understand how users interact with our platform (usage analytics only, not search query content)
To personalize and enhance your experience
To monitor and analyze service performance and trends
To detect, prevent, and address technical issues
Important Clarification on Search Queries: Your search queries are not used by Liberty AI to train machine learning models, improve our algorithms, or for any purpose beyond providing immediate search results. Search queries are stored for a period that you can configure in your account settings and are automatically deleted according to your chosen retention policy.
Data Retention Policy
We understand that privacy is important to you. Liberty AI allows you to control how long your search queries and related data are retained on our servers:
7 Days: Your search queries and related data are automatically deleted after 7 days
30 Days: Your search queries and related data are automatically deleted after 30 days
3 Months: Your search queries and related data are automatically deleted after 3 months
6 Months: Your search queries and related data are automatically deleted after 6 months
1 Year: Your search queries and related data are automatically deleted after 1 year
You can change your data retention preference at any time in your account settings. Once the selected retention period expires, your search queries and associated conversation history are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers. This deletion is irreversible.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share your personal data or search queries with third-party providers for marketing, training, or analysis purposes. However, we do share limited data with specific service providers only when necessary to provide and maintain Liberty AI's services:
Service Providers: With third-party service providers who help us operate, improve, and analyze our service. Most of our services are hosted on our own infrastructure, but we do integrate with specific third-party providers that generally act as data processors rather than data controllers and user data is not shared with them beyond what is necessary to provide the service.
Hosting and Infrastructure: We use Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines however data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption protocols. You should review Microsoft Azure's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy as they may apply to data processing on their Virtual Machine infrastructure. Azure complies with major data protection regulations including GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
Cloudflare: We use Cloudflare as a security and performance service provider. Cloudflare may process limited technical data such as IP addresses and request metadata to provide CDN, DNS, and DDoS protection services.
File Storage: We use Vercel Blob Storage for file storage. According to Vercel's Terms of Service (Last Updated August 20, 2025) and Privacy Policy (Last Updated April 22, 2024), data stored in Vercel Blob is encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption on underlying cloud infrastructure. Vercel states that it does not sell or share user data and that data is processed only to provide the service, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. You retain ownership of the data you upload.
Search and Data Retrieval: We integrate with providers such as the X API for Twitter/X search, Exa, and Parallel for search and data retrieval capabilities. These services provide specific functionality through API calls initiated from our servers and do not require or receive user data.
AI Processing: We do not make API calls to OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Google, Mistral, or similar providers with user data. We may make API calls to other providers for minimal, non-user-specific purposes only, and only to providers that do not collect or process user data.
Payment Processors: We use Polar to process payments and manage subscriptions. These providers handle all payment data directly and have their own privacy policies governing payment information.
Compliance with Laws: When required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, unless the user data has already been deleted according to the retention settings.
Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Payment Data: When you make a payment, your payment information is transmitted directly to our payment processors (Polar for subscriptions) and is not stored on our servers. We only receive confirmation of successful payments and subscription status updates.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction or deletion of your personal information
Object to or restrict certain processing activities
Data portability
Withdraw consent where applicable
Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
